As you look for a suitable job you must stand out from the crowd of other well-qualified job-seekers to attract the attention of potential employers. During this six-hour workshop you will learn how to:

• identify and present the specific skills you have acquired during 
  your thesis and/or post doc;
• you will hear about the importance of tailoring your application to 
  different types of jobs;
• how to write an attractive CV and engaging cover letter;
• how to prepare for and present yourself convincingly in an interview;
• and how networking can help you find out about potential careers, 
  as well as available jobs.

Although focusing on non-academic career paths, much of the advice will be relevant to those applying to academic positions.

In the morning of this full-day workshop we will prepare for the Career Options Lunch. Please also register to this lunch workshop, to ensure you get optimal use from the training.

You will be asked to send your CV one month before the conference so that we can tailor the workshop to your needs.
